PYC was founded in 1908. Home to many competitive sailors, PYC is a strong supporter of OCSA, SYSCO and PNW Sailing and frequent post-race gathering spot. River skippers and crews are welcome to visit PYC and meet-up with other sailors after Regattas, Sailing on Sunday, and Summer Sailing on Sunday events.
PYC hosts sailing, racing, social, and educational events to promote sailing and racing on the Columbia River. We encourage non-PYC members to visit, socialize with other sailors, and learn more about Portland Yacht Club. PYC supports youth sailing, sponsoring the PYC Youth Sailing Scholarship Fund, which offers assistance for sailing lessons at PNW sailing organizations.
